About Us
Randall Rearden
Randall: I'm beginning the journey as a student pastor at a church in Kentucky. I love watching sports, especially racing. Kelli is the love of my life. Life would be dull without her. We are so excited about the journey God has us on to bring a precious child into our home.
Kelli:Randall is a gift to me...he teaches me about the character of God, and makes me laugh when he imitates raccoons. He genuinely loves people more than anyone I have ever met and would give the shirt off his back to a stranger. He has this amazing way of relating to every person on their level, and he works harder than anyone I know. He is truly my soulmate!
Anonymous Friend: Randall loves God, the overflow of that love is shown by how much he loves Kelli and how passionate he is about life. Randall has a gift of teaching and leading that when accompanied by his passion for the word will lead him to being a great pastor and father.
Life Together
We both grew up in small towns in Kentucky in wonderful families. During college,we met on a blind date set up by close friends (sometimes they do work!!). After a long-distance, whirlwind courtship, we were married May 28, 2011. Adoption has always been part of dinnertime conversations at our household. On one of our first dates, Randall asked how many children I (Kelli) wanted. I can't remember if he choked or dropped his fork when I said six :) I explained that I wanted to adopt in addition to biological children. Prior to meeting Randall, God had forever changed my heart in a little South American country called Peru. I spent two summers working in orphanages there, and it forever changed me. I will never, ever forget those children. The vacant eyes of children lying in cribs, the diaper rashes from infrequent care, and the longing for attention and affection shattered my heart. When a child is sick in an orphanage, there is no mommy to stroke their forehead. When you live with hundreds of other children, there is no daddy to tuck you in. Every single child on earth is precious and created in the image of God...and deserves a family.
Randall wholeheartedly agreed (although he still isn't on board with the six kids ha!) After several years of marriage, we decided to start our family. We experienced several difficulties, and the Lord began speaking to our hearts that He wanted us to adopt NOW, not sometime in the distant future. Adoption is such a picture of our faith. We were all orphans until Jesus came to make a way for us to be adopted into the family of God. And He calls us to care for the 'least of these.' So here we are, beginning this amazing journey to our son or daughter. We will share more of our journey as it unfolds..and the beautiful back story that God has been writing. Kelli Rearden
Kelli: I can typically be found reading, talking (I do a lot of that), drinking coffee (Randall says I need two cups to be nice in the morning), sleeping (yes, it's a hobby) or spending time with the people I love. I am a Diet Coke addict (tryin' to quit), passionate about orphans, girl saved by the relentless grace of a great God.
Randall: From the moment I met her, I could tell that Kelli deeply cared for those who were around her. We were married in May of 2011. Since then, my life has been so sweet with her by my side. Even in the midst of moments that haven't been so sweet, she continues to be an inspiration to me. Her love for God first and her love for others second challenges me to walk closer with Jesus. She is the love of my life and I wouldn't want to imagine a life without her.
Anonymous Friend: Ever since I first met Kelli, I knew her love and care for others was exceptional. She has an incredible heart to serve, and is willing to do even the most humble task. She’s a friend who cares deeply for those in her life. She speaks the truth in love and offers no judgment. Kelli is the type of friend that you treasure for a lifetime.
