Where are you adopting from?

Vietnam

We have begun the process to adopt from Vietnam. Vietnam's adoption program was closed in 2008 due to corruption and just re-opened in Sep. 2014 (and with a strong emphasis on ethical adoptions). Therefore, we are sort of 'guinea pigs' as we go through the process!

Where is Vietnam?

Vietnam is the easternmost country on theIndochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. It is bordered to the north by China and the west by Laos and Cambodia.Vietnam's entire eastern border fronts the South China Sea. With an estimated 90.5 million inhabitants as of 2014, it is the world's 13th-most-populous country.

Why Vietnam (and not the US)?

The short answer is that the Lord has led us to international adoption, specifically Vietnam, and we want to follow His plan for us. I (Kelli) spent several summers working in orphanages overseas and has a heart for those children. The United States do not have orphanages/institutional care that is common overseas. For these children, adoption is their only hope, especially if they have any type of medical or developmental need. They need access to care that isn't available in their country but is available in the U.S. All that to say, we STRONGLY believe that parents are needed to adopt children from the U.S. and internationally. Our calling at this point, however, is to international adoption.
