To tell our story of adoption is to tell the story of Jesus. You might know a few facts about Him...but do you really know Him? You might spend every Sunday in church...but have you encountered the living, risen Savior? You may believe you have done too many bad things for Him to love you anymore...or you may have been turned off by people who claim to be "his" followers...or you may be looking for something to fill the gaping hole in your soul.
Let me tell you His story. The most beautiful story ever written was about a Father who came to get His children. This Father...Yahweh God..knew from the moment He created His children that they would turn their backs on Him and would continually mess up. He knew this life would be painful and hard because of many decisions we make. Yet....He still wanted us. We are willing to spend any amount of money, fly across the world, and give our lives for our future child...because we already love them. Likewise, God was willing to go to any length to bring His children back to Him...because He loves us. Our sin separates us from His holiness, so only a perfect sacrifice would do. Enter His Son, Jesus. Jesus left heaven to come to earth to die a sinner's death..for you. For every single wrong thing you have ever done..or will do. Oh, but that's not the end of the story. He rose out of the grave three days later, proving He truly is God. He died that we might live. That our stories might be different. Filled with hope, joy, redemption. Will you allow Jesus to change your story?
